The AIPR Workshop is held in the Powell Auditorium of the Cosmos Club in Washington, DC. The Cosmos Club is a prestigious social club with many well-known members, following the traditions of explorer and scientist John Wesley Powell of National Geographic Society fame, who helped establish the Club in 1879. The Club presently occupies a mansion which was originally built in 1899, located at 2121 Massachusetts Ave. NW. This is at the Southeastern end of "Embassy Row," which contains many of Washington's embassies and consulates.
DuPont Circle, the hub of Washington's night life is two blocks away. An enormous variety of restaurants, from fast food to Washington's finest, as well as shops and nightclubs, are in the DuPont Circle area. Parking in area is limited both night and day. The Club is a five minute walk from the "Q Street" exit of the DuPont Circle station on the Metro, Washington's comfortable, efficient subway system. Any of the city's hotels are in easy reach via the Metro.

Attire: Gentlemen are expected to wear a coat and tie in the public areas of the Cosmos Club, and ladies are expected to wear comparable attire.
The conference room facilites are handicapped-accessible, including wheelchair access to the conference room and elevator access to the uppor floor for AIPR receptions. Participants with disabilities are encouraged to identify their special needs so that the organizers can make plans to accommodate them
