Poster Guidelines

General Notes

• AIPR will not store, print, or mount posters.

• AIPR will provide clips or tape for mounting posters onto backboards.

• Authors are expected to set up posters 15 minutes prior to the session and remove them within 15 minutes after the session.

• AIPR is not liable for materials left after the poster session.

• Poster sessions are open to all AIPR attendees; no restrictions, security, or custom requirements will be made for any individual presenter.

• Authors are expected to be present and answer questions during the session.

• Maximum size: 36 x 48 inches

• Weight: < 2 pounds (1 kilogram)

Considerations for Effective Poster Communication

• A poster is visual communication. Human interpretation depends on complexity, experience, and time viewing.

• For readability at ~1 meter, use fonts larger than 14 pt.

• Tell your story in space—make the flow clear.

• Graphic elements should clearly communicate distinct ideas (Bertin’s model is one example).
