AIPR will award a prize for the best student paper presentation and the best student poster presentation, as judged by a special award committee. Each winner will receive a $100 prize. A paper or poster is eligible only if (1) the first author is a student at the time of submission, and (2) this student is the one who will present the paper or poster at the workshop, if accepted. A student may submit entries in both categories but can win an award in only one.
Policy: The AIPR Workshop emphasizes new work.
Paper: Written papers will be required for works accepted for presentation (oral or poster) at the Workshop. To be considered for an award, the paper must be submitted no later than the first day of the workshop. Speakers must register for the conference in order for their paper to be published (and to secure a speaking/poster slot). Proceedings are included in the cost of registration. These papers will appear in the AIPR Proceedings, and will be indexed in IEEE Explore.
Poster competition: Students are expected to be present at their posters for the entire duration of the poster session and be available to engage with attendees.
The page limit for each paper is 13 pages. Accepted papers will be included in the official AIPR Workshop Proceedings.
Student papers will be noted in the preliminary program distributed to workshop attendees.
Each day of the workshop, at least two committee members attending the full day will be selected to evaluate student paper and poster presentations. (A judging worksheet is available on the website for student reference.)
Student presentations will be scheduled throughout the workshop but none will occur after 11:00 AM on the final day.
Award announcements and certificate presentations will take place after lunch on the final day of the workshop.
